The Original Cup-Cake

I saw this idea on pinterest yonks ago  and thought it was so cool. As a big fan of puns I couldn’t miss the chance to make a literal cupcake as oppose to the actual cupcake.

I made the cake from a Rachel Allen recipe for “divine chocolate cake” and then moulded some ready-made icing around it, not forgetting the handle of course. Lastly I put some yummy chocolate fudge icing on top to give it a hot chocolate/tea facade.

You know what would be super cute? If I made little cupcakes and added handles so I’d have loads of little tea cups. Then you could probably lift the whole cupcake up by the handle!  This cake is just too heavy to be lifted by the handle….. yes, I tried….

Happy Baking!

Thanks! I know, they'd be adorable ^_^ It kind of reminds me of a part of Willy Wonka where he is drinking from a flower cup and then takes a bite out of the flower. 😀

ADORABLE! You are an adventurous baker. I am quite a good baker but I literally bake about five things, and never do anything else. This is a gorgeous idea though! I love it.

Thanks! I love to try new things, create bizzare cakes etc. It's really fun! But experimenting can be disastrous and often not even edible.
Baking the same five things means you're probably an expert at them. I bet they're very yummy. Brownies? … I make them all the time.
    Thanks Emily ^_^
